ALTA Surveys
Report
The purpose of an ALTA survey is to establish the limits of a parcel of land based on the recorded legal description of the parcel and to show any easements or agreements that exist and how they affect the subject property. ALTA surveys are prepared using a set of minimum standards established by the American Land Title Association (ALTA) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
Wetland Surveys
Report
The purpose of a wetland survey is to show the location of wetland habitats on the subject parcel. The limits of the wetland may be obtained from maps prepared by government agencies such as the Army Corps of Engineers, or they may be marked in the field by a biologist or other environmental professional.
Tree Surveys
Report
The purpose of a tree survey is to show the number of trees, including species and size, located on a parcel of land. Most tree surveys are performed on land that will be cleared and developed to provide a record of existing conditions and to aid in determining how many replacement trees will need to be planted after the development of the parcel is complete. Tree surveys are often combined with topographic surveys as part of the design survey delivered to an engineer.
