Ray Carlson and Associates, Inc. have been providing high-quality court exhibits and research for the North Bay Area since 1976. Our Research Department has extensive experience with the Title Industry and has worked with many Bay Area attorneys. Many municipal records are available free online, if you know what to look for and where to look.
Costs may increase as the level of precision and comprehensiveness required for the survey increases. This necessary step is complicated by the casualness with which land has been transferred in the past, resulting in many vague, incomplete, and often contradictory legal descriptions. We have found many times that the answer to boundary problems are in the research of past transfers to correct scrivener errors.

I can't speak highly enough of the Ray Carlson team. They were very responsive and able to schedule us in sooner than some people could even return my calls. They did a ton of research before surveying my property and advised me beforehand what the costs could be if they couldn't find necessary markers. Thankfully they were able to find everything needed. They were up front about everything and honest about the surveying process and price. I would hire them again without hesitation.
