GEOD Corporation is a group of highly skilled professional surveying and mapping personnel. A small business enterprise (SBE) with headquarters located in Newfoundland, NJ and branch offices in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, GEOD has completed thousands of survey and mapping projects throughout the Northeast.

GEOD was established in 1961 as an aerial mapping and land surveying firm, and over several decades, we've expanded our services to include new technologies as they emerged, including utility mark-outs utilizing ground penetrating radar (GPR) and electromagnetic scopes (EM-scope), as well as 3d high definition laser scanning services (3D HDS).
Services
The name GEOD is short for the word geodesy - meaning the determination of the size and shape of the earth and the exact positions of points on its surface and with the description of variations of its gravity field. In 1961, after four years as serving as the Chief Surveyor for a large design and construction project in northern New Jersey, Paul Emilius, Sr. was offered a similar position in North Carolina for a large land reclamation and dam construction project.Giving the position and the move (particularly with regard to his family roots) great consideration, Paul decided instead to venture out on his own and start a new land surveying business.
GEOD's photogrammetric mapping division provides our clients with a range of mapping services and products that complement our survey division offerings. GEOD can also acquire precise, detailed and geometrically correct photography and/or imagery for the desired target site. These products, obtained terrestrially or aerially (using airplanes or drones), can then be used for detailed site plan investigation and 3D mapping solutions.
GEOD Corporation offers a comprehensive list of services for your geospatial data collection needs. GEOD's professional personnel have the latest equipment at their disposal to provide accurate geospatial data pertaining to above ground structures, lots and parcels, underground utilities, land features and topography, or land and streambeds.
Without disturbing the surface, GEOD can locate, follow and map underground utilities and cables to give clients a view of what is happening underground on project sites. And, when markouts are combined with traditional surveys, GEOD can provide a total picture of your site - above and below ground.
