David Laird Associates was formed in 1960 with the goal of becoming the premier land surveying, civil engineering, and land development services provider in Western Pennsylvania. Since the businesses' inception, both David Laird and later his son John have continued to expand the company through acquisitions and expansion of the services offered to our clients.Some of the company records acquired during this time include the records of ACME Engineers, McManus Engineering, The Supplee Engineering Company, Lawrence Utterback, Owen Richardson, Tom Cavanaugh, Robert Sidman, Joseph Conrath, A.N. Aitken, and Charles Cranch.

David Laird and the staff at David Laird associates have provided us surveys on two different occasions. It could not have been more of a pleasure working with these folks. They made us feel like we were priority customers. Always on time, they were courteous and professional going out of there way to accommodate our needs. I hired Laird Surveying recently to identify a shared property line for my mother's property in Millcreek. We were very happy with the process/communication from both office and field staff, especially since I was doing so from out of town and not able to be there on the ground. Laird was very accommodating and responsive to my questions (and patient with my learning curve!).
They also did their best to stick with the original quote even though, I know that they spent additional time completing the survey beyond what they estimated. I absolutely recommend Laird & Associates.

We consulted with Laird Surveying after multiple contractor recommendations. John made the process seamless. We were impressed with the timeline of the project completion and prompt communication. He provided an explanation of all of the details regarding house placement, grading requirements, limitations for the land etc. He gave us many options, listened to our wants/needs, and came up with a plan that worked well for us. John went above and beyond to help us develop an optimal plan for our future building project. We would use him for additional projects in the future without hesitation!
