For close to 30 years, Chris Nelson and Associates, Inc. (CNA) has offered southern California and surrounding areas with a full gamut of land surveying services. CNA has a proven history of supplying trustworthy data to our clients through our land survey services and we strive to be at the forefront of the surveying and mapping industry by using new technologies for an ancient science.
Aerial mapping is a form of remote sensing, which is the collecting of aerial photographs and/or LiDAR data utilizing planes, unmanned aerial system (UAS) drones, and/or satellite imagery data captured from a large distance from a project site; from 100 feet to as high as 60,000 feet. These images display a large area and can be stitched together and distortion corrected to create large orthographic photos called ortho-mosaics, using a technique called orthorectification.Once an image has been orthorectified, it can then be used as a base map for all kinds of information and mapping uses, as well as draped over a 3-dimensional surface.
A key service offered by CNA is the preparation of ALTA/NSPS surveys. These acronyms represent American Land Title Association and National Society of Professional Surveyors. These two agencies have jointly prepared and adopted a set of minimum standards regarding the preparation of land title surveys.
