From Our Website
Urban growth or redevelopment can create a number of serious problems. Whether these problems are overburdened roads, housing shortages, environmental issues, or inadequate infrastructure, our Engineers are continually solving them. Our engineers plan, design, and oversee the construction of facilities essential to modern life, ranging from transportation systems to communities where people can live, shop, and work. Our professional staff of Engineers are in the forefront of the ever-changing technology and apply the very latest concepts in computer-aided design (CAD) during design, construction, project scheduling, and cost control to provide the client with an accurate design in a timely manner.
Cardinal teamed with Northern Kentucky University's Center for Applied Ecology for this project. The project was performed to stabilize the channel, restore floodprone width, mitigate erosion, and improve fish passage. Cardinal worked with BHE Environmental, Inc on this project. Cardinal provided professional assessment, design, and construction plans for a four acre constructed treatment wetland at the Duck Spring Facility located in Alcoa, Tennessee. Cardinal teamed with Northern Kentucky University's Center for Applied Ecology for this project involving the restoration of a stream and modification of an existing detention pond located in Wilder, Kentucky.
In 2012, the Collection Auto Group decided to construct a Mercedes-Benz dealership, located on 7-acres at the site of a former dilapidated hotel. They hired EGC Construction to oversee and construct the project. Cardinal worked directly for EGC. The Fort Mitchell site was chosen with customer convenience in mind. In 2003, Wal-mart decided to enlarge the size of their existing building by expanding to the north. However, the existing facility was bounded by a steep hillside, valley, and intermittent blue line stream to the north, a steep hillside and street to the east, Alexandria Pike to the west and the existing Alexandria Village Green Shopping Center to the south.
In addition, we provide layout control for aerial photography and photogrammetry, write required legal descriptions that are used to describe parcels of property, and prepare large and small lot divisions for recording. Our professional surveyors also provide the client with other needed land surveying services so that construction companies can correlate engineering and architecture plans to the real world, verify that buildings and other structures are constructed according to design, building elevations can be determined for flood insurance, and horizontal and vertical control networks can be established such that projects in a given area can relate to each other.
